A blogring is a collection of blogs which you can navigate round using special html displayed on each member blog.

Blogrings normally connect blogs with a similar theme which can be quite general or very specific.

All the rings I know about are hosted by http://www.ringsurf.com/. Please post if you know of other "ring bearers".

I don't know if it is the official name for the person in charge of a ring, but I call them the Ring Master.

The ringmaster monitors the ring ensuring that all member blogs have the correct code, adding new members, deleting abandoned blogs and so on.

Rings can get very large and this can be a disadvantage as it becomes more and more impossible to have time to navigate round the whole thing.

Some rings have limited membership and there will be a queue waiting to join. There are usually rules about who may join and the level of posting that must be maintained to stay a member.
