Hey, this is great! * looks around*. I'm delighted to be back with you all again, I have great hopes for this forum which has already taught me a lot.
I'm a fairly new blogger, I started in November of last year and so far I am enjoying it and have started to make new friends and have more contact with some friends I already knew from other forums. I started off my professional life as a software developer, but as Jacquie says, blogging is another world, it is great fun finding out all about what is available and how the community works.
I like to write, for very many years have only written technical papers and reports, so I am enjoying writing in a more free context and format again.
My current main hobby is knitting, so I blog about that, but I also have a network of family and friends who are very spread out geographically and I blog about my family's activities as well, as a way to keep in touch.
I'm already thinking about February's Blogalong, but have not yet come up with any ideas!

Hi Knitbert,
I'm so frustrated that I can't access your blog. I think the problem is with my computer, not you, but darn, it worked a few weeks back. Anyway, I wasn't ignoring your nice comment, just unable to respond. _________________ Cindy G

Hi Cindy, I have had an intermittent problem with my blog loading for a few days. I think that it is probably one of the things I have in the sidebar, which takes time to start up and makes blogger think it can't display the blog. I don't know which item, but I will do some checks, in case the problem is on my side. I find that if I reload a couple of times it comes up eventually.
ETA:
I have deleted something from my sidebar and changed the way I link to my videos and I think that is what was causing the problem, as the blog now comes up much faster. I hope you will be able to access without any trouble now - and thanks very much for mentioning the problems you have been having, it helped me to realise that I needed to fix something. _________________ http://knitbertprinciple.blogspot.com

Hooray! It's working for me now (and I did recognize the Falls). It was nice that you shared your memory, because it brought back such nice memories for me. We visited there once when my daughter was about 11, and again just a couple of years ago with dear friends.
